Mr. Murray Sussman died peacefully in hospice care on Thursday, April 7, 2016 in Morristown, NY at the age of 91.

Murray is survived by his wife, Harriet; 3 children, Barry, Judy and Ira; 8 grandchildren, Bonnie, Robert, Jennifer, Jared, Alley, Amy, Matthew, and Sara. He is preceded in death by his brother Stanley.

Murray was born on December 25, 1924 in Brooklyn, NY to Abraham and Jenny. He married Harriet, his high school sweetheart in 1945. Murray is a Veteran having served in the Army during WWII. Over nine years, the couple welcomed three children into their home. His children remember him as a kind & gentle father who encouraged them to pursue their goals.

Murray was a generous, witty & dedicated individual who loved music, tennis, and telling jokes and stories. He was an active and dedicated member at his Temple and often volunteered his time.

A funeral is scheduled for Sunday, April10th at 1p for family and friends. Rabbi Joseph Potasnik will officiate the ceremony. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Morristown Hospital Hospice Unit or the Alzheimer's Foundation of America. The family would like to thank the Morristown Hospital Hospice staff for their dedication and care.
