Condolence: There are people in our lives that impact us in ways we don’t realize until we are older. Ms. Wishnow was my 5th and 6th grade teacher in PS 46. Her love 💗 of animals, music 🎵 and the arts 🎭 were reflected in her classroom and lessons plans and hence was a gift to us. She took us to museums and musicals. We sang folk music and read the American classics. We were taught to be tidy and orderly. She exposed us to ideas and subjects that may have not been revealed to us until far into our adulthood . She sharpened our intellect on rocks of knowledge and experience. She did exactly what a great teacher so effortlessly does which is, equip us for our journey with proper grammar, a vast vocabulary, perfect penmanship and our curiosities and interests peaked. My only regret is that I didn’t get an opportunity to tell her how much I appreciated her as a teacher, as MY teacher. Ms. Wishnow I’m grateful I was your student 👩🏾‍🎓 and thank you. My condolences to your family and friends.

Your Student,

Kim Oliver

Condolence: My condolences to the family. Ms. Wishnow was my 5th and and 6th grade teacher. We all just heard the news and it has sadden me to know I wouldn't be able to say goodbye. I dont know if she knew how wonderful and powerful she was as a teacher. I am friends with the bulk of our class from 46 on fb and to others we are known as Me. Wishnow class. This is a woman who gave of herself unconditionally. She taught us how to earn money, empower each, live beyond the walls of our confine, fit in where you go because she took us everywhere. There wasn't a contest that she didnt have us enter because she was never going to let her kids be left out. As a girl she ensured we the boys let us play whatever spot they were playing and this taught us not to allow someone to build a glass ceiling above us. As a woman I carry those values with me today. May Ms. Wishnow be reward for all of good that she did with us and all the kids that were in her class. She was truly the best and her kids is forever grateful.
