The world lost a wonderful woman. I will always be grateful to Nancy for her guidance as our school principal and as a friend. She was so strong, wise, and ahead of her time. ~ Gale Vanore

I was so saddened to hear about Mrs. Lindenaur's passing. My love goes out to her family, who she loved so much! Mrs. Lindenaur inspired me to become a teacher at a young age and to get an advanced master's degree in educational leadership to become an administrator too. Mrs. Lindernaur understood climate and culture before it was a hot topic. I loved being at Searingtown because of her. I went there, vounteered there in high school with her, and even worked for her for one year before she retired. She was a true blessing.

My deepest sympathy to the children and family of Mrs. Lindenauer. It has been 30 years since Searingtown Elementary, but you will always be remembered as a loving, supportive and caring mentor to all students who crossed your path. Grateful and blessed that you were our principal. You will never be forgotten. P.S. I hope your plants in heaven are watered as well as they were at Searingtown.

Nancy was the ultimate good friend. When you were with her she was totally with you. She had the ability to be completely focused on the conversation at hand. She never spoke a negative word about anyone. Her words were genuinely kind and thoughtful. Was she gifted with this ability or did she develop it during her lifetime? I don't know. But I aspire to emulate her ways. She will be my role model for as long as I live.
