Obituary for Ruth Milman

Ruth Lillian Milman passed away on January 10th in Corona, Queens, New York.

She was born to the late Bertha and Julius Manitsky on September 19, 1925 in the Bronx, NY, and had one brother, Leon Marshall, who pre-deceased her in 1999. Ruth grew up in Brooklyn and was married to David Milman in 1952, who pre-deceased her in 1971.

Ruth is survived by her daughter Daria Milman of Park Slope, NY,
her stepson, Harry Milman of Maryland and his wife Caren and their daughters Jennifer Lori McGinn and Deborah Tracy Hyman and their families (including two grandchildren),
her niece Julienne Hudson and her husband Glenn and their son Jonathan,
her niece Toby Schack and her husband Michael and their children Rebecca and Zoe, her nephew Dr. Mitchell Marshall and his wife Elizabeth and their children Andrea and Benjamin,
her niece Rachelle Newman and her husband Avraham,
and her nephew Kal Marshall and his wife Lisa and their family.

Ruth worked well into her late 80’s, even after having two hip and two knee replacements, as a medical office receptionist. She was spunky and very independent throughout her life with beautiful green eyes and a great sense of humor. She loved and was loved. One of her favorite activities was driving over to pick up her dear friend of over 70 years, Adele Schul, to just go shopping or out to lunch at their favorite diner.

A private burial service for the family will be held on Tuesday, January 12th, 2021.
