Richard was an interesting guy and a fine artist. I have a couple of his works in my home. He was always fun to be with, and I don't know anyone who ever met him who didn't like him. He traveled, and enjoyed his summers, and eventually, his retirement in San Miguel, where he painted and made woodcuts to his heart's content. It's a shame his last few years were plagued with health crises, but that's the way of things. He lived longer than his stupid NYC doctors expected, and went peacefully, for which I am grateful.
